Tiffani Faison is one of the most popular and richest Chef who was born on August 20, 1977 in Germany. Faison participated in a one-episode culinary competition dubbed 4 Star All Stars which included the four Top Chef season one contestants (Stephen Asprinio, Dieterle, Faison and David Martin) against four season two contestants (Elia Aboumrad Ilan Hall Sam Talbot and Marcel Vigneron). Faison’s team came out on top with the winning menu and was awarded an amount of $20,000 to go towards the Susan G. Komen for the Cure charity. The episode was telecast in the Bravo channel on Bravo in June 2007.
Faison is currently owner and head chef of Sweet Cheeks Q, a Texas-style barbecue restaurant in Boston’s Fenway District. Opened in the Fall of 2011, it is her first restaurant. In December 2015 she opened Tiger Mama, a restaurant in Fenway focusing on Southeast Asian cuisine. In February 2019, Faison opened up her third Fenway restaurant, the “Adult Snack Bar” Fool’s Errand. Her newest venture Orfano, which serves Italian-American cuisine, opened in August 2019.
Faison finished as runner-up in the Top Chef Duels 2014 competition.
Faison was also a part of The Top Chef Holiday Special that was aired on the 7th of December 2007 and won the prize of $20,000.
Following the broadcast of the final season on Top Chef in May 2006, Faison took a summer post as a cook in The Straight Wharf restaurant in Nantucket, Massachusetts, working under chefs Amanda Lydon and Gabriel Frasca. She was the executive chef of Todd English’s restaurant Riche located situated in New Orleans, Louisiana. On May 7, 2007, Faison was co-hosting a Greek Isles cruise with a culinary theme for Olivia who is a lesbian travel and lifestyle company.
Faison returned to Boston, and was Executive Chef at Rocca Kitchen & Bar (500 Harrison Avenue), a once popular neighborhood space on Friday nights, until it closed in December, 2010.
