Ron Cook Facts
He is the son of a school cook and a car worker.Ron spent the first 6 years in South Shields before relocating to Coventry.He made his debut TV show appearance as Frank in Ballet Shoes in 1975. Later, Ron went on to make his first feature film appearance as a Telegram Boy in It’s Getting Harder All the Time in 1976.One of his earliest works was in an original production of playwright Timberlake Wertenbaker’s play Our Country’s Good in 1988.In 2000, Cook appeared in Juno and the Paycock at the Donmar Warehouse for which he was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award in the category of “Best Supporting Actor”.Over the years, Cook has been cast in a number of plays that include The Seafarer, Twelfth Night, Hamlet, King Lear, and The Homecoming.Ron’s mother sadly passed away at the age of 97 in early November 2020.Featured Image By Ron Cook / Twitter
